- Acquired by Carlisle Interconnect Technologies in 2016, Star Aviation was founded in 1999 as an aircraft engineering and certification consulting firm in Mobile, AL. Shortly after opening, manufacturing capabilities were added for complete turnkey solutions. Headquartered at the Mobile Aeroplex, Star neighbors many other aerospace industry companies such as Airbus Engineering NA, VT MAE, Airbus 320 FAL, SAFRAN Group,and AeroStar MRO In 2003, Star extended its footprint by opening an office in Lynwood, WA. This office is designated to provide Technical services support to Boeing and now serves in addition as our West coast engineering office. Focus Star Aviation specializes in post-delivery modification of commercial and general aviation aircraft and obtaining Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approvals. Typical programs include avionic upgrades, structural & electrical modifications, in-flight entertainment & connectivity (IFEC) integration, large crown mounted antenna and radome interfaces, custom equipment racks, interior reconfigurations, and system integration. Star Aviation has a proven track record of taking a product and successfully carrying it from concept design through to installation. (Concept-Design-Prototype-Install-STC). Over the last decade Star has specialized in WiFI and wireless connectivity system integrations using large crown mounted satellite antennas and air-to-ground systems. With over 700 installations flying today on several Airbus and Boeing platforms, Star has become a leading integrator for commercial aircraft connectivity systems. In addition to engineering and manufacturing, Star provides a wide range of technical services such as production illustration drawings, computer-aided drafting, maintenance manual supplements, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, schematics and product data management. We skillfully deliver engineering documentation suitable for integration directly into your system for seamless work transfer.
