- Mission: In partnership with its members, DLC is dedicated to enhancing downtown Lexington as a unique and vibrant destination to live, work, and play.Downtown Lexington Corporation (DLC) is a community and business advocacy group and event producer in Lexington, KY. DLC encourages responsible economic development, advocates diversity, communication and leadership in assisting property owners, businesses, employees and residents in making downtown Lexington a location for retail businesses, restaurants, offices, arts and cultural activities as well as a wonderful place to live and work. We assist our members with promotional efforts and any issues they have in order to make doing business downtown as easy as possible.In 2015, DLC celebrated 27 years of serving Lexington. We contributed over $28,000 to nonprofit DLC member organizations and produced over 70 public events which attracted thousands of people to our central business district. Our organization surpassed 400 members and continues to advocate for and promote our members to the Lexington community.
