• Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian organization that works in partnership with families in need to create simple, decent home-ownership opportunities.Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area was formed in 1995 under the umbrella of Habitat for Humanity International, which has been operating since 1976. Since then, we have built 23 homes in Teton County, WY. The homes are sold to partner families at no profit with an interest-free mortgage issued by Habitat. In 2010 Habitat launched a new program called A Brush with Kindness to provide exterior home repairs to qualifying low-income homeowners. In its first year A Brush with Kindness served 12 local families and 3 local organizations.The Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells Jackson Hole used furniture that has been donated, as well as housing materials to the public. All proceeds benefit Habitats goal of building simple, decent, affordable homes in Teton County. Donating your used furniture and appliances to the ReStore reduces landfill waste and provides opportunities for community members to make purchases at reduced prices. We are an RRR Business Leaders founding member.
