• Transdiaspora Network(TDN) is an award-winning social enterprise and a leading 501(c)(3) human capacity building non-profit organization conducting culturally-oriented HIV prevention and awareness activities in Brooklyn, New York. Unlike other youth development and public health preventive strategies, our unique approach works in the stages of PRE-primary prevention tapping on the youths informal network. Our groundbreaking non-lecture model is intended to change youths way of thinking and behavior which in turn teaches them prevention. We are a Non-Governmental Organization in special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC), and recipient of the New York State Health Commissioners Distinguished Service Award provided by the AIDS Institute. TDN is also a proud recipient of the 2014 Silver Communicators Award (non-profit/charitable website category), which honors excellence in marketing and communications for social enterprises that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement at a global scale.Through our groundbreaking programs the RIPPLE Program and the BOLD Initiative - we are promoting a different way of thinking and talking about HIV prevention that better reflects the reality of culturally diverse communities.
