Located in the Heritage Hill district of Grand Rapids, Michigan.Sanford House is a restored historic home that provides an intimate, boutique setting where women suffering from a substance use disorder are treated with empathy and respect. Our treatment philosophy is a holistic and ongoing one, believing the stronger and more well-rounded the woman, the more fulfilling her life in recovery will be. Addiction treatment is complex and can be one of the most challenging experiences these women ever face. But at Sanford House, they are also faced with this reality: if they can overcome fear, the rewards of sobriety are far greater. Life in recovery is a future worth fighting for; a new life to look forward to. At Sanford House, we approach substance use disorders as chronic diseases and equip women with the tools, practices, and support they need for life in recovery. Because of our small, specialized program, were able to provide clinical oversight during all awake hours, and certified supervision provided 24/7. Along with our residential program, we offer outpatient and intensive outpatient care in our on-site carriage house for long-term support and chronic disease management.
