• Founded 1992 by GA Chamber of Commerce/GA Economic Developers Association. Consists of business, education, community and government leaders who share a vision of improved education in our state. An independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit working tirelessly to be GA's foremost change agent in K-12 public education. The GA Partnership often takes lead roles in efforts to shape policy and reform education but gladly partners with other groups/organizations taking lead roles in a variety of efforts.Here is a snapshot of our programs and publications. Forums are free and open to the public. Next: Apr 28.Economics of Education - Briefing presented to business/civic/education groups across the state proving inextricable link between economic prosperity and education.Education Policy Fellowship Program - 9-month leadership program (Sep-May) providing inside look at education policy issues. Applications now being accepted (May 29) for Cohort 8.Media Symposium - Annual Jan event open to ed writers/editors. Features policy experts, key legislators, other key decision/news makers. Held in conjunction with new leg. session.REACHES - Program completed. Designed to improve student achievement and ultimately increase graduation percentages of Hispanic/Latino students in target counties.Woodrow Wilson GA Teaching Fellowship Program - In-state coordinator for program designed to both increase the supply of STEM-field teachers and change how they are prepared to teach.Key Publications:Top Ten Issues to Watch - Annual publication IDs/analyzes key education issues facing the state. Offers next step ideas. 2016 edition on web.Economics of Education - 4th edition provides a look at key areas that impact both personal and community education and economic success.
