Inquiring Minds Usa Inc.

Description

• Inquiring Minds is a design co-laboratory led by DK Holland and Monica Snellings. We explore innovative ways to help develop kids into critical thinkers in the classroom, and then to visually and articulately broadcast what theyve learned. Inquiring Minds develops and shares best practices for the physical design of the 21st Century school classroom. We co-create tools with teachers and students that take form as instructional kits, booklets, games, and storytelling techniques. Our method embeds assessment strategies that communicate what students have learned. We nurture innovative, critical thinking. Our professional development workshops put a special emphasis on visual, media, and data literacy. Working with teachers across the country, we create rigorous and engaging programs for students and teachers that allow them to reap the benefits and rewards of a richer, deeper learning experience in an active, democratic, fluid environment. Society is the greatest beneficiaryInquiring Minds is ultimately helping to grow involved, enabled and engaged citizens of the world. Inquiring Minds USA Inc, Brooklyn, New York, is a spinoff of Citizen:Me, a collective of people who believe that viewing education through a civic lens is the best way to give each and every kid the tools they need to shape their future.
