- Star Bank was originally founded in 1904 as The First National Bank in Bertha, Minnesota. Today, as a family-owned, independent community bank, Star Bank offers a variety of financial solutions to individuals and businesses such as: Personal and Business Checking and Savings Accounts, Mortgages and Construction Loans, Agricultural Loans, Leasing, Insurance, Small Business Loans, and more. Star Bank serves its customer base throughout Central Minnesota with offices in Big Stone, Grant, Todd, Traverse, Wadena, Hennepin and Wright counties. Most recently, a de novo office was opened in Eden Prairie, MN. in 2010 followed by the acquisition of a new branch in Maple Lake in 2012.
