• M2057 by Maria Pinto is a brick and mortar and e-commerce women's contemporary retailer based in Chicago. M2057 offers a unique 1:1 shopping experience in which you try on and order pieces in store, and they are shipped directly to your home. The label marries superior design qualitysculptural lines, luxe Italian fabricswith ease and versatilitymost of the pieces are machine washable and very travel friendly. The clothes are designed to fit a wide range of body types and sizes, and can be styled a number of ways to transition seamlessly from casual to formal events. It's a collection that keep's up with women's busy lives. Maria Pinto has counted some of the world's most notable style icons as clients, including First Lady Michelle Obama, Marcia Gay Harden, Brooke Shields, and Oprah Winfrey. Most recently, designs from M2057 by Maria Pinto were featured on the hit show Empire. Maria launched M2057 in 2013 by raising more than $270,000 on Kickstarter, becoming the crowdfunding platforms most successful womenswear campaign at that time. In addition to designing M2057 and her previous Maria Pinto luxury label, Maria has designed fashions for the Joffrey Ballet and the James Hotel in Chicago, and the Skylark Bar in New York. She served as Creative Director of the department store Mark Shale, where she led the buying team and curated the womens fashion collections. Her designs have been featured in Vanity Fair, the New York Times, Womens Wear Daily, the Wall Street Journal, and the Chicago Tribune, among other publications. In 2012 Ms. Pinto co-curated an exhibition for the Field Museum, Fashion and the Field Museum Collection. Her designs are now part of the Fields permanent collection. Ms. Pinto is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and is the recipient of the School of the Art Institutes Legend of Fashion Award. She also serves as a member of Chicagos Advisory Council on Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
