• The fondest memories for sisters Michelle and Nina were the times spent with their grandparents, either helping their grandpa pick cherries in his orchard of fruit trees or helping their grandma roll pie crust and make Cherry Pie. The most meaningful moments always occurred surrounded by food and they learned early on that food is love. Every single birthday and holiday revolved around dessert---either cake or pie. Later in life after following different career paths, the sisters always remembered those times of family and love. Something magical always happens when you set a cake in the middle of a table and the family gathers around. These memories form the cornerstone of The Sugar Path. The sugar sisters (as dubbed affectionately by their customers) love helping their customers create long-lasting beautiful dessert memories. The Sugar Path is a dessert bakery and catering business with products that taste just as good as they look. With a homestyle philosophy born in their grandparent's kitchen, the sisters use small batch baking techniques and locally sourced ingredients to create the best tasting desserts. Every dessert is given a personal attention to detail and decorated keeping in mind the way most of us want to eat. The Sugar Path shop opened in historic downtown Geneva (west of the City of Chicago) in December 2012. Our shop is opening and inviting making you feel like you are in your grandma's kitchen. The Sugar Path specializes in large event catering as well: Weddings, Parties, Business and Corporate Events.
