• Geodynamics is a certified Woman-Owned Small Business research firm located in Newport, North Carolina. Our firm specializes in hydrographic data collection and processing, including multibeam with acoustic backscatter, singlebeam, and side-scan sonar high-resolution seafloor mapping, beach and shoreline feature surveys with RTK-GPS, and high-end GIS analyses and database design including Digital Elevation Models. We perform hydrographic surveys of the highest data quality aboard our own fleet of coastal vessels and for extended operations at sea. Geodynamics staff is highly trained in modern hydrography and marine geology, and includes nationally certified Hydrographers (ACSM/THSOA) and GIS Professionals (GISP). Geodynamics has completed hydrographic survey projects for clients including NOAAs Center for Coastal Fisheries and Habitat Research, USACE Wilmington, USACE Baltimore, the US Navy NAVFAC Atlantic, the USACE CIRP / ERDC, NASA Wallops Flight Facility and the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management, among others. Our products and analyses have received high praise for our thoroughness, expertise and prompt delivery. Geodynamics maintains a full suite of hydrographic instruments and customized survey vessels to accommodate a variety of hydrographic and shoreline research objectives.
