• We've developed 70 affordable housing projects with a total of 3,700+ unitsSt. Mary Development is a faith-based nonprofit that creates affordable housing solutions through real estate development and resident services. For more than 25 years, weve developed multi-family housing solutions for those in need. Our work began in the Dayton, Ohio area and has expanded into nine states.Experienced development teamWith decades of experience, our development team has the ability to assume different roles depending on the project type, risk and return. We complete projects as the sole developer and also as a co-developer in partnership with for-profit developers and other nonprofit organizations. Were flexible, and can act as a nonprofit sponsor and a community liaison.Access to fundingWe have access to debt and equity funding sources including construction loans, permanent loans and supplemental funding. Our funding sources include Community Housing Capital, NeighborWorks America, Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, Ohio Housing Finance Agency and the Federal Home Loan Bank, to name a few. Most of our housing projects are accomplished through the low-income housing tax-credit program.Why we do it.Our work is a calling from God. We seek God's will in our work. We view our talents and resources as gifts from God to help those in need. We feel a special call to share God's love for the poor and teach about social justice.
