• As 3 hospital medicine physicians on the frontline of the Coronavirus Pandemic, we are seeing first hand the anxiety and concern health care workers (HCW) have around lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) and policies surrounding this issue. We started a petition to shed light on the concerning guidelines for PPE for HCW in the United States. Thanks to many supporters around the country, we received over 1.5 million signatures for this important cause. Inspired by those stories we created FrontlinePPE NOW with the goal of informing and advocating for the right PPE. With the help of our amazing team, we at FrontlinePPE NOW have compiled relevant literature, media articles and frontline stories to help keep us all informed and inspired. We also wrote an open letter to the CDC advocating for clear guidelines regarding N95 masks based on science, not supply. We have also been working with policy experts to encourage change on a policy level for appropriate PPE. By helping to facilitate this process, we hope to get PPE to where it is needed most and make sure all health care workers are protected.
