• San Ysidro Health Center (SYHC) is a non-profit organization fully committed to providing the highest quality, most compassionate, easily accessible and affordable health care services for the entire family.The mission of San Ysidro Health Center (SYHC) is to improve the health and well-being of our communitys traditionally underserved and culturally diverse people. SYHC provides compassionate and innovative care to over 90,000 patients through a vast and integrated network of program sites including: medical clinics, dental clinics, behavioral health centers, HIV centers, WIC nutrition centers, mobile medical units, school-based health centers, chiropractic care, Pediatric Developmental Clinic, Teen Clinic, Senior Health Center and Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Center.Originally established along the border in 1969, today SYHC provides high-quality, compassionate care at sites located throughout the South Bay (National City, Chula Vista and San Ysidro), Southeast San Diego, and El Cajon. SYHCs unique services include the San Diego Childrens Dental Center at Rady Childrens Hospital offering oral care for medically fragile children, the Adult Special Needs Dental Clinic housed within SYHCs King Chavez Health Center, Urgent Care services located at Chula Vista Medical Plaza, and Mi Clinica SYHCs retail clinic at Northgate Gonzalez Market. Daily, 1,200 dedicated staff members provide culturally proficient and vital health services to make lives better for the most vulnerable families within San Diego Countys impoverished communities.
