It is the mission of the Robert Louis Stevenson School to help bright adolescents who have been underachieving by providing a college preparatory educational program within a therapeutic milieu that offers the necessary academic, social and emotional help for them to succeed. Stevenson aims to help its students achieve on a level commensurate with their abilities, and to prepare them to cope with the demands and pressures of both college and everyday life.Robert Louis Stevenson School helps restore hope for students and families and fosters a firm foundation for a brighter tomorrow. While students come to Stevenson unsure of themselves and their future, over 95% of students go on to higher education. We serve the public good by meeting the needs of students who have been handicapped by economic disadvantage, disrupted family lives, trauma history, depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders, or learning disabilities. They succeed in transforming themselves into active, engaged individuals who can take a meaningful place in society.
