- New York School of Design (NYSD) is private career school specializing in fashion design. Located in the world-renowned New York Garment District, NYSD provides a training ground that is unique and inspirational. Since 2005, NYSD has maintained its position as the place for intensive, hands-on training, offering more than one hundred courses attended by students from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Working in cooperation with the fashion industry, NYSD graduates are employed by international fashion icons such as Ralph Lauren, Gap, American Eagle, Liz Claiborne, Vivienne Tam, Coach, etc. Our programs are industry focused and encompass the necessary and relevant curricula to take our students to the next level in their career and beyond. All of the programs, including fashion design and fashion technical design, focus on career training and prepare students to land their first job in the fashion world.
