• Advantage Home Care (AHC) provides an affordable solution for older individuals or couples who want to remain independent in their homes as long as possible, but who require non-medical assistance such as light housework, laundry, meal planning and preparation, medication reminders, help with bathing, dressing and grooming, incidental transportation and/or companionship. Services can be arranged for as little as two hours per day several days a week, or as many as 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays. The caregivers at AHC are all thoroughly screened, drug tested and criminally background checked. All caregivers are thoroughly trained before being placed with clients, closely supervised in the field and provided with quarterly professional development sessions.AHC also provides specialized care for those diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Our caregivers receive special training from the Alzheimer's Association to help manage the behaviors associated with the condition while treating the client with respect.Advantage Home Care also offers a unique service called Welcome Home, a transportation and short term care program, for seniors being released from the hospital. For a fixed fee a caregiver will pick up a client at the hospital, take them home and spend 6 hours with them to insure they can safely adjust to the change in environment.The communities AHC serves range geographically from Bowdoinham to Wells, Maine.
