• People's Center Health Services was founded in 1970 by grassroots organizers who sought to address the needs of the economically and socially disenfranchised. The result of this movement was one of Minnesotas first free medical clinics. Back then, the clinic was staffed by volunteer medical personnel and had very limited hours of operation. Today, we are a Federally Qualified Health Center that is staffed by professional physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers, with daily hours of operation and a variety of programs and services spanning three clinics.We are home to three clinics located in South Minneapolis featuring primary and behavioral healthcare, oral health services, and an adolescent friendly clinic.
