• MiraBlue Bios mission is to develop a cost effective, colon-specific delivery system for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical products. Current delivery systems employ cellulose- and gelatin-based capsules to carry active ingredients (i.e., probiotics) through the stomach and gastrointestinal tract. Neither material is formulated to reach the colon in its entirety. Thus, product degradation in the stomach and small intestine can compromise the efficacy and bioavailability of active ingredients. There are currently no cost effective solutions to maintaining the efficiency of nutraceutical supplements, as well as the ability of drugs for colorectal cancer and G.I. disorders to aid the millions of people suffering from a malady in their G.I. tracts. Our company is formulating a novel capsule technology to carry the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical compounds entirely to the colon, where it will release the product. Our team has not only the expertise, but also the passion to drive this technology to commercialization.
