• Stand Up Placer began as volunteer-led 24-hour rape crisis line. Over 38 years, we have become the sole provider of comprehensive services for Place survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and human trafficking and their significant others.Our mission: Saving lives by empowering survivors and educating communities to stand up to domestic and sexual violence.We serve residents of Placer County seeking safety and healing from the effects of dometic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking and their family members. Stand Up Placer, is dedicated to providing survivor-driven services that offer victims a skill set to heal from their trauma and to create new lives of strength and self-sufficiency. Our major services include a 24-hour crisis line; emergency domestic violence shelter; emergency food and clothing; job readiness training and search assistance; a children's advocate for safe house residents; individual, family, child and group therapy in the safe house and service offices; case management; legal advocacy, assistance, and court accompaniment. We are the Rape Crisis Center for Placer County, providing hospital accompaniment, advocacy, support and follow up for sexual assault victims through the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). We also offer a 24-month supportive housing program to help survivors attain long-term self-sufficiency. To help create a stronger, safer community, we provide prevention programming for local schools, workplaces, and community organizations.
