• Established in 1928, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven is one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the US and remains the largest grantmaker in South Central Connecticut. Our dedicated staff work with donors to build an endowment that creates positive and sustainable change through grantmaking, fund management, community outreach, education, research, and more. We serve:**Donors & Advisors By working with The Foundation, donors can have a lasting impact through a knowledgeable partner by creating a personalized charitable fund, enabling them to support the nonprofits that matter most to them, now and in perpetuity. Throughout the year, The Foundation holds community-wide convenings and disseminates informational briefs on a wide range of topics of importance to Greater New Haven's residents.
