Harrison, nephew of Cherie River, was the inspiration for the development of River Pediatric Therapies. Harrison was born with Down syndrome and received Early Intervention services since birth. Now an adult, he is still progressing every day with new and wonderful skills.The key to successful therapy is connecting to children within their natural element- which is play. At River, we strive to create the ultimate play experience so that therapy becomes the highlight of the child's week. Cherie River, Director/OwnerRiver is staffed with over 50 outstanding, certified and licensed Speech Language Pathologists, Developmental Therapists, Behavioral Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and teachers. Therapists provide a comprehensive approach to intervention that focuses on the whole child because each step counts! They tailor programs according to each child's strengths and needs in all areas of development including: cognitive, adaptive, sensory, social, hearing, behavior, vision, gross motor, fine motor and communication.
