We are familiar with all aspects of the software development life cycle. We create UML data and process models. We help clients achieve interoperability for sharing patient data between different healthcare providers. We are working with medical terminology and semantic structural standards, including reference data such as SNOMED CT. We assist the VHA hospitals with enterprise integration for data interchange. We support the Health and Human Services' Office of the National Coordinator OIT office, the VA VHA and NIH's National Cancer Institute (NCI).J P Systems specializes in national HIT interoperability standards; requirements analysis, system design, documentation and training. From our work on the VHA VLER system, J P Systems personnel are experienced in the use of the HITSP C-32 specification as well as the Consolidated C-CDA specification which is required by the Meaningful Use of EHR regulations. In addition, we are familiar with the C32 enhancements requested by SSA and the requested enhancements to VAP. Our personnel worked with HITSP and ONC to develop the standards (as part of our support of the VHA Standards and Interoperability program), and have hands-on experience implementing them. Importantly, due to our support of the VLER Health Business Service Interoperability Specifications project, we are familiar with how the VLER interacts with other VA systems (such as VistA and the VPR extract), and the business needs behind the VLER program.
