- The Farmers Dinners mission is promote local area farms, educate consumers on the healthy benefits of eating locally and inspiring people to get in the kitchen. The Farmers Dinner starts with meeting the farmer and seeing whats in season. From there we network with local agriculture producers and set up guest speakers to talk at the dinner about their products and how their work impacts the local community. This special dinner is truly an experience in community. We set up the dining room with a home-style seating plan and have guest speakers interact with the diners between courses. This experience promotes interaction among the diners and speakers. The menu for the dinner is crafted from ingredients that are in season and picked fresh. The Farmers Dinner is truly an experience that allows the diner to meet the people who are growing and preparing their food. In addition, diners receive recipes listing local area farms and information on how to prepare the dishes they have that night.
