• The Jump Start Incubator (JSI), whose programs are supported by the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center and the Berks County Community Foundation, provides entrepreneurial coaching and training to start-up and existing business owners looking to grow their operations. The Jump Start Incubator is located on the third floor of the Berks County Community Foundations located in downtown Reading.The mission of Jump Start Incubator (JSI) is to be a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurial development, to cultivate viable business concepts, provide a solid foundation of support through our clients critical start-up phase, accelerate commercialization and stimulate growth; enabling emerging companies to secure long-term sustainability, create jobs, increase the tax base, diversify the economy, and enhance the quality of life in the Reading, Pennsylvania region.Jump Start Incubator is comprised of three programs: Jump Start Incubator, Off Site and Launch Pad:Jump Start Incubator clients receive occupancy in one of our eight premium office suites, 4 hours of Director's time per month, 20 hours of student support per month, 20 hours of conference facility use per month, and ongoing mentoring from JSI advisors. Clients also receive a JSI mailing address, presence on the JSI website, and free wireless internet.Off Site clients get similar mentoring, 2 hours of Director's time and 6 hours of student support per month, without renting an office. This is perfect for the small business who may already have a retail space or manufacturing place and therefore, does not need an office. These clients can get the services they need to grow their businesses too.Launch Pad clients receive access to co-working space, 1 hour professional staff support per month, 4 hours of student support per month, four hours of conference facility use per month, and the opportunity to graduate into the two-year incubator program.
