• The Joseph Gomoll Foundation was incorporated in June of 2010 as a 501 c(3). The Foundation was setup as a tribute to Joseph Martin Gomoll, who passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2010. Joey was afflicted with Dravets Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy his entire life. While Joey was alive the doctors were never able to get his seizures completely under control. Dravets robbed Joey of most of the ability to speak, but it did not stop him from communicating with everyone he met - no one that knew Joey will ever be able to hear Hi, How Are Ya? without smiling - and it most certainly never prevented him from laughing, smiling, singing or dancing.Because music was the centerpiece of Joeys world, there is no better way for us to raise money in his name than through music. The Foundation will be releasing a series of CDs that will be called Joeys Song. The CDs will feature rare and unreleased songs from major recording acts from around the world. There will also be some special CDs of childrens music as well, most of recorded specifically for Joeys Song. Other than cost of production, every penny raised by the Foundation will go directly to our named charities. Joey's Song now featuress 4 CDs, 2 for adults and 2 for kids. You will find artists like Rosanne Cash, Crash Test Dummies, Neko Case, Cowboy Junkies, The Knack, The Baseball Project, Eddie Kilgallon (Montgomery Gentry), and Mark Olson and Gary Louris of the Jayhawks on Joey's Song! www.joeyssong.org
