• In November, 2011, Oil Mop, LLC announced that it will operate as a d/b/a (doing business as) under the new name OMI Environmental Solutions. Oil Mop has a world-renowned reputation and is one of the oldest oil spill response companies in the world. We have assisted with the cleanup of some of the largest oil spills and disasters in our nation's history. However, after more than 40 years in oil spill response, we recognized the need to rebrand the company to expand the limited perception of the services and products we offer. Rebranding to OMI Environmental Solutions will more appropriately convey the breadth and depth of our services and products which are available to our customers.OMI Environmental Solutions (OMIES) will take Oil Mop to the next level of support. With rebranding, it will be clearer Oil Mop does more than just respond to oil spills. The companys new name will hopefully clarify any misconceptions about all of the environmental services and products we have to offer: oil spill, hazmat, industrial services, standby rescue, waste management & disposal, transportation services, environmental consulting, training, and environmental & safety products.
