• Established in 1998, Gateway is a boutique recruiting company, placing both contract and permanent resources in the IT departments of some of North America's largest general insurance companies. While we have some clients outside of Property and Casualty, our strength lies in this specialty. Our strategy to specialize has been proven time and again with the length of client relationships. We win clients and we foster those relationships with a value add that encompasses both expertise in general insurance as well as superior customer service driven by relationship management. Customer service is important to any placement firm, but particularly so for Gateway. The quality and experience of the organization is judged and determined in large part by the people that you, the client, deal with. Your account manager, Gareth Callaway, is the owner of Gateway and his efforts are ably supported by a recruiting team that shares this philosophy. Our process of recruiting is better described as a style as it is flexible enough to accommodate you, the Client. We ensure its success through repeatable steps, a methodology but everything in the process is customer centric. In general, we do not subscribe to the traditional approach of filling a requirement as it lands on our desks. Instead we leverage both client and candidate relationships to continually network and know where certain types of skills are in preparation for a potential requirement from the client. As an example, if we come across a Business Analyst with strong Rating experience we'll either note that for future reference or pick up the phone to a client that has most recently said they may need or have just had a requirement in that area. We have dozens of such examples across our entire customer base. The process can be described as proactive, involved and, therefore, informed.
