- DEC is a civil-structural engineering firm specializing in industrial buildings and structures, commercial buildings, and foundations. Our engineers wil inspect your facility, identify any structural problems, design customized repairs, create CADD drawings, and provide an estimate of probable cost. If you have a structural problem caused by corrosion, acid attack, wind or seismic damage, give us a call. Some of our recent projects include:1) modifying BOF emissions ductwork supports, 2) repairing continuous caster spray chamber platforms, 3) inspecting and designing repairs for crane runway girders, 4) inspecting blast furnace structural framing and connections, 5) repairing a waste-to-energy scrubber vessel, 6) inspecting and designing upgrades to a residue building,7) designing crane runway and trolley fall protection systems, 8) certifying existing cell phone towers for new 4G LTE antennas, and 9) removing load bearing interior walls for commercial medical office renovations.
