• Ray Evernham is one of the greatest NASCAR crew chiefs and most successful car owners in the history of NASCAR. From Wall Stadium, his hometown track in Hazlet, New Jersey, to the most prestigious venues in NASCAR, Ray has built winning teams, won races, and earned respect along the way.Ray revolutionized the NASCAR crew chief role and is credited with creating the modern template for NASCAR pit crews through his innovations at Hendrick Motorsports while leading the #24 car Rainbow Warriors. During his time with Jeff Gordon and the #24 team, Evernham was able to earn three NASCAR Winston Cup championships and 47 wins, including two Daytona 500 victories.In 2000, Ray retired from the crew chief role and became a team owner himself by teaming up with Daimler Chrysler performance brand Dodge to spearhead the unproven manufacturer's re-entry into NASCAR. Evernham Motorsports became one of the leading teams over much of the decade collecting 20 wins.Throughout his tenure as a crew chief and team owner, Evernham has amassed a collection of more than 70 wins and 65 poles in NASCAR competition.After selling Evernham Motorsports for a record amount, Ray created Ray Evernham Enterprises. He took an abandoned warehouse and created a museum, race shop, and office. Since then he has served as a NASCAR analyst for ESPN, consultant to Rick Hendrick, and ambassador for some of the top brands in the automotive industry.In addition to his role at Hendrick Motorsports, Ray serves as Executive Producer and Host of Velocitys hit TV series AmeriCarna, which he co-owns with his friend and mentor, Rick Hendrick. AmeriCarna allows Ray to share his passion for automobiles and reveal the untold stories of cars that have so heavily influenced American culture as we know it today. His on-camera duties also include being a car insights analyst for Velocity and Discoverys live broadcast of the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction.
