Description

• SOLVE brings Oregonians together to improve the environment and build a legacy of stewardship. SOLVE is a non-profit organization that brings together individual volunteers, service and conservation groups, businesses and government agencies in activities to restore our natural spaces and provide educational opportunities to encourage environmental stewardship. Governor Tom McCall and other community leaders established SOLVE in 1969. They saw the need for community action to address problems in the ever-growing state. Today SOLVE is building on their vision with a strategic plan that will guide us as we work to improve the environment of Oregon and build a legacy of stewardship.SOLVE annually provides resources to more than 185 Oregon communities, focusing on cleanup, native planting, invasive plant removal and environmental maintenance projects. SOLVE creates an average of 50,000 volunteer opportunities across the state. Since 1997, SOLVE has provided an estimated $60,000,000 in service to Oregon. In 2012 SOLVE unveiled a new logo and name that more accurately reflects the work of the organization - the active participation of volunteers choosing to SOLVE. We hope you like the new look as much as we do!
