- Gardner Insurance Agency is an independent insurance agency that specializes in auto insurance, homeowners insurance, life insurance and business insurance. As an independent agency, were able to help you, our clients, find the best possible insurance coverage for the lowest price possible. Gardner Insurance was established in Madison, Indiana in 1979 by Bob Gardner (the Smile-Maker) and his wife Carolyn. Their daughter, Robin Goodknight, joined them in 1980 and still runs the agency today as the principal agent. Her son, Greg Goodknight, recently started working at Gardner, representing the third generation in the family business. As our clients, friends and family know, Gardner Insurance takes pride in our business. We continue to retain our core values and principles as we move forward in the 21st Century of insurance. We have served the Madison community and surrounding areas since the inception of this agency, and we continue to pride ourselves on quality service, client loyalty and helping make the best choices for you, our customers.
