• Founded in 1999, StorageMart grew to more than 60 storage properties by 2006. In 2008, the company acquired a publicly traded Canadian storage company, nearly doubling its size by adding another 62 storage facilities to its portfolio. After years of growth in North America, StorageMart jumped into the self storage business in the United Kingdom in 2016 with the acquisition of 15 properties throughout Southeastern England. Today, StorageMart provides self storage throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom with 189 storage facilities, providing more 12 million net rentable square feet, collecting in excess of $155 million in annual revenue. In addition to renting self storage units, StorageMart sells moving and packing supplies at every location as a convenience to customers. These supplies include items such as cardboard boxes, specialty boxes, tape, bubble wrap, mattress covers and much more.Along with our status as the leading participant in Charity Storage, StorageMart works independently to form relationships with non-profit organizations in the markets we call home. Current partners include the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics as well as animal welfare organizations, literacy programs, child foster care advocacy and women's shelters.We are proud to call Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Saskatoon, Miami, San Antonio, Chicago, Kansas City, Des Moines, Oakland, Brooklyn, and many others home to StorageMart locations.
