    Description

    • First American Military, Inc. (FAM), was a 501(c)3 non profit organization (NPO) founded by Navy veterans Larry Lasky (CAPT, USN, RET), and David Simpson (ITCS, USN, RET). Originally set to assist military families with the problems surrounding home ownership, FAM soon became involved with a larger mission: assisting the war torn families of Operation Redwing, a disastrous special operations mission in Afghanistan which left one survivor. That survivor's story can be read in the book Lone Survivor. After a hugely successful tribute to the families of Operation Redwing, FAM was merged with the existing directors of a second NPO and renamed Families of American Military. After assisting the board with the merger and staffing needs, Mr. Simpson left in order to assist with the foundation of other companies.
