- AEA has been leading innovation in audio systems engineering for over 40 years. Originally founded in 1969 to design and manufacture professional recording studio equipment, the company later focused on high-end audiophile stereo components. AEA pioneered technical innovations in the use of Integrated Circuits (ICs) for recording studio mixing consoles, high-power audio amplifiers for large concert sound systems, and innovations in high-end consumer electronics. Our recording studio technology was first installed at Criteria Studios in early 1970, and subsequently acquired by Music Center Incorporated (MCI) in 1971. AEA went on to produced several highly acclaimed high-end consumer products incorporating new technologies that would later become industry standards. The company has recently been reactivated by its original founder to continue building on its legacy of innovation in audio systems design.
