- One years fan is the next years superstar. Entire genres are created in the time it takes a full season of TV to meander its way to conclusion. Creating an event for something so wildly diverse and rapidly evolving is an impossible task, but we attempt it anyway. And we do it with excitement, because we believe that online video is the most important cultural force since the motion picture. We are in the very early, defining moments of an extremely powerful global force.Over the last seven years, VidCon has grown from 1400 people in the basement of a hotel to 30,000 people gathering at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, and were very excited to package up the magic and take it overseas to Amsterdam in 2017. Amsterdam is a vibrant, innovative, creative city, and were thrilled to see how VidCon lives and breathes in this new home.Along with you, we want to foster this democratization of creation that has only just begun, and which will be the defining story of this era of media.
