• NE Seniors helps seniors living in NE Minneapolis, St. Anthony Village, Columbia Heights and New Brighton live independently with dignity in their homes. Volunteers make it possible for NE Seniors to provide over 1,000 rides each year. To keep seniors informed of services through a quarterly newsletter that reaches over 850 people. To repond to over 150 inquiries per month on issues ranging from crime victim services to snow shoveling; home visitor programs to help caring for a pet. NE Seniors works in partnership with many organizations to provide services. Neighborhood Health Source outreach workers provide Medicare Part D consultations in our offices. Lindquist & Vennum provides a free monthly legal clinic (individual consultations) for real estate related issues. Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly provide visitors in the home and trains volunteers to become a friend. Adam Kaufman of Jensen, Sondrall & Persillin provides workshops on estate issues and health directives. Local housing providers join with us to offer Senior Housing tours: Autumn Woods Apartments, The Kenzington of St. Anthony, Crestview, Catholic Eldercare, Chandler Place, Peter Nassef Maronite Home. NE United Methodist provides free office space and is opening a senior coffeehouse on site. Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran is sharing their bus. Catholic Eldercare and Autumn Woods provide meeting space. Many community and religious organizations provide financial support. Together we make lives better for the seniors living in our neighborhood.
