- HistoriCorps is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which saves and sustains historic places for public benefit through partnerships that foster public involvement, volunteer, youth and veteran engagement, and public education and training. From our Denver headquarters, we coordinate and instruct historic preservation projects on public lands throughout the United States. Our projects engage volunteers in amazing outdoor locations to preserve unique and significant historic structures. Since HistoriCorps began in 2009, we have preserved almost 200 historic structures in 24 states, engaging over 1,200 participants in 100,000 hours of service and training, and formalized 60 partnerships with federal, state and local governments and community based nonprofit organizations.HistoriCorps is a service learning partner of the U.S. Forest Service, Department of Agriculture committed to the preservation and stewardship of significant resources on public lands.
