• XLerateHealth is one of six major healthcare accelerators in the U.S. and one of two that are south of the Interstate 80 corridor from San Francisco to New York. XLerateHealth is enterprise-focused and will help early stage healthcare companies build out their commercialization strategy, which includes their intersection with Payers, Providers and Customers.XLerateHealth is funded by the State of Kentucky, the City of Louisville, and various corporate and non-profit Sponsors. The Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of the accelerator is Bob Saunders, a seasoned venture capitalist who has worked with 100+ start-up companies over the past two decades and has mentored several healthcare start-up enterprises. Co-Founder Ted Smith is a successful healthcare entrepreneur and was the Senior Advisor for Innovation in the Office of the National Coordinator in the US Department of Health and Human Services in Washington D.C. Co-Founder Bobby Ferreri is Executive Director of Louisvilles EnterpriseCorp which fosters entrepreneurship throughout the region. XLerateHealths COO, Jackie Willmot, has over three decades in the healthcare innovation and start-up space, and spent over 15 years as an executive with Humana. XLerateHealths Directors Joanna Cruz, Jay Garmon, Chris Hall and Zack Pennington have a diverse set of backgrounds ranging from venture capital to healthcare entrepreneurship, to healthcare ecosystem participants (Payers, Providers etc.).
