• The Fuller Center for Housing is a nonprofit housing ministry headquartered in Americus, Ga., with dozens of covenant partners in more than 50 U.S. communities and 16 countries. Instead of giving handouts, The Fuller Center makes homeowners full partners in the building and repair process. Homeowner partners provide sweat equity in working on their homes and repay zero-interest loans on terms they can afford, with the payments going into a fund to help other families be empowered through home ownership.While the majority of The Fuller Center's work internationally is in the construction of new homes, most of its work in the United States is in repair, including through the innovative Save a House/Make a Home initiative, which puts America's glut of vacant and foreclosed homes to positive use. Save a House/Make a Home allows banks and investors to rid themselves of properties they consider toxic assets by donating them to Fuller Center covenant partners, who then restore them and fill them with decent families. It's a program that's good for families in need, banks, communities affected by the blight of vacant housing and the housing industry itself.The Fuller Center offers Global Builders service trips to international communities off the beaten tourist path and mission trips right here in the United States. We encourage churches to put their faith into action with us.The Fuller Center was founded in 2005 by Millard and Linda Fuller, founders of Habitat for Humanity.
