• Nurse-Artists International is an organization with a mission to help build healthier communities with creativity and compassion. To accomplish this, we incorporate the arts and humanities in our programs and projects for their positive, therapeutic, affects on health and well-being. Through these programs and projects, our vision is to be a provider of cost-effective, healthcare options for individuals and groups in business, education, and healthcare.In addition to our arts-related programming, we manage two art associations. One for nurses only, the International Association of Nurse-Artists, and another, which is open to all artists, the Arts & Health Collaborative. We provide networking, exhibition/performand, education, and employment opportunities to both groups. Currently, the groups include members from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Members' work is displayed at our headquarters in Fort Myers, FL as well as Cakewalk Artists' Co-op in Saint Petersburg, FL.One of our community outreach projects is C.A.R.D. (Compassionate Art Reach Delivered). Through this service, we send mail and email messages of encouragement and support to artists and military personnel that are referred to us. We are able to provide this service free of charge due to the generosity of private funding.Nurse-Artists International was founded in May 2009.
