• In the past, DeWitt worked in the poverty clinic helping those in need through the bankruptcy process both legally and emotionally. Continuing with his past experience, DeWitt opened the law office in the spirit of helping those who need it most. DeWitt says, I started this law office in order to provide these services to those that need them at a reasonable cost. Bankruptcy can be a path to a fresh financial start for those who need it. DeWitt aims to assess each clients situation individually, and determine whether bankruptcy is a viable option for his clients before helping them through the process. In addition to bankruptcy law, the firm also provides estate planning and elder law services. Both estate planning and elder law are complex areas of law that are constantly changing, and they require an experienced attorney who keeps up with the changes, and can ensure that clients have access to reliable legal advice when they need it most. DeWitt says, Just as everybody should have a plan for living, everybody should have a plan for the end of the life as well. Proper estate planning can make handling ones death and affairs much simpler for loved ones, but simple mistakes can create costly complications. DeWitt aims to provide affordable, high quality legal services in order to avoid expensive mistakes. DeWitt is a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law, and his interest in the law spans beyond being an attorney. While studying to becoming a lawyer, DeWitt was the managing editor of the Journal of Food Law and Policy. He also worked in the poverty clinic doing bankruptcy work for those that could not afford an attorney. Prior to law school DeWitt worked for the information technology departments of several fortune 500 companies in various technical and managerial roles.
