Habitat houses are modestly sized large enough for the homeowner familys needs, but small enough to keep construction and maintenance to a minimum.Decent. Habitat uses quality building materials to meet all required building codes.Affordable. The labor of volunteers and partner families, modest house sizes, and a no-profit, no-interest loan make it affordable for low-income families to purchase a house. All of the homes Honolulu Habitat builds are Energy Star qualified.
