• Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly is a national network of non-profit volunteer-based organizations committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. We offer to people of goodwill the opportunity to join the elderly in friendship and celebration of life.Since opening our Boston doors in 1979, we have been working to improve the lives of elders in need, offering emotional and physical support.  With a small staff and a dedicated crew of 1500+ volunteers, we reach out to our elderly neighbors to provide companionship, support and care throughout the year.  Our goal is to help these elders maintain their independence while helping them feel connected to a larger community. In the last year we were privileged to touch the lives of 780 elderly women and men, and provided 29,690 hours of friendship and service through intergenerational matching, on-call emergency services, holiday celebrations, social activities, telephone reassurance, and advocacy.Interested in joining us?
