• Founded in 1979, Laser Devices, Inc., now called Steiner eOptics®, was the first company to mount aiming lasers on small arms. As the technology leader in laser aiming solutions and battle lights, more than 100,000 Steiner eOptics® products are deployed throughout the world. In December 2015 Beretta Holding, through its world-renowned subsidiary Steiner, completed the acquisition of two O'Gara Group companies: Sensor Technology Systems (STS) (Ohio) and Diffraction Ltd (Vermont). STS and Diffraction offer leading edge solutions in the field of night vision devices and tactical beacons. The acquisition and management consolidation of STS and Diffraction, called Steiner STS, represented an important strategic step in increasing Beretta's electro-optic product offerings under its Steiner brand.In June of 2016, to further increase its global market leadership position, Steiner announced it will combine the Steiner eOptics division with the Steiner STS division. The new organization will retain the name Steiner eOptics, Inc. and will be located in Miami Township in Montgomery County, Ohio. This single entity enables Steiner to better respond to customer needs, and capture engineering, manufacturing and supply chain synergies.Steiner eOptics® products are designed, developed, produced to proudly carry the Made in the USA label. Steiner eOptics® produces one of the most advanced night vision devices, the AN/PVS-21, used by US Special Forces and elite fighting units. In addition to its beacon and tactical light product lines, Steiner eOptics® provides its Dual Beam Aiming Laser (DBAL®) series of laser aiming systems, including the AN/PEQ-15A and DBAL-A3®, to US and international law enforcement and militaries. Every one of the Steiner eOptics® products is designed to enable more accurate marksmanship and provide the user with a higher level of confidence and safety when firing a weapon and completing the mission in daylight, low and no-light conditions.
