Alight Learning

Description

• Alight Learning is the only rich internet application that personally engages middle and high school students, catalyzes better teachers, keeps parents informed, and reports to administrators the data they worry about so they can focus on the teachers they care about. Our type of engaging and collaborative technology is one of the prime ways America is fixing its poor performance when it comes teaching a new generation of creative students. Of the $144 billion Obama just signed off on for education stimulus 2/3 of a billion dollars is exclusively for slated education technology. Thats 2.5 times more than years past. In fact, now a growing handful of states, beginning with Maine, are attempting to mandate a computer for every single child. Alight Learning is the first and only online tool in the $15 billion dollar educational technology industry that can be personalized to every students learning needs in a completely real-time, social, and collaborative learning environment. This means students dont fall through the cracks and have a much richer and social learning experience compared to dry textbooks. We also have educations first crowd-sourced knowledge engine and a very unique belief that knowledge, is never wasted. This means every teacher and student has immediate access to only the best & most relevant resources & lesson plans. The work of students in one class can for the first time always help that of students across the country and vice-versa.Through the help educational sponsorship, we offer our entire externally hosted and secure environment free for teachers to start using in their classrooms. This revolutionary ground-up approach gives us a strong base of users and advocates that helps us prove to administrations that we can deliver on the things principals really care about effective teachers, while selling to them an easy solution to the things principals worry about standards, yearly accountability reports, and easy management.
