• Groupmuse is an online platform that organizes classical music house parties hosted in peoples' living rooms every week. Since the first groupmuse in January of 2013, we've had over 350 groupmuses in 13 cities throughout the USA and abroad, and are growing rapidly every week. We have been featured in Time Magazine, Wall Street Journal, the Boston Globe, the Guardian, NPR, and many more. The aim of the startup is to create opportunities for the development of a community of people that meet in real life, offline, in warm and intimate settings to engage with great art the way it was meant to happen hundreds of years ago. We bring in classical musicians to peoples' homes in the house party context in an effort to bring young people to these events and have them see a groupmuse as an option for something to do on a weekend night; something we have experienced great success in achieving. Our primary demographic consists of culture-seeking 20-somethings, though all events are open to any and all ages and types.We are now rolling out Groupmuse at Work: an opportunity for companies to host groupmuses in their workplace as a social, team bonding, employee engagement, or generally intimate and meaningful internal event option. It's an incredibly warm and enriching experience: everyone takes about 40-50 minutes out of their day, sits down together, and listens to incredible performances of Mozart and the like by local classical musicians.
