• In 1996, a group of HR managers from various industries in Northwest Arkansas, were asking how they could raise the skill level of their workforce (especially in the area of maintenance technician training). Together, they created Northwest Arkansas Industries for Education, a not-for-profit consortium of area businesses and industries, that shared resources and created customized, skill-based job training to suit a wide range of needs. As a member of NORTHWEST ARKANSAS INDUSTRIES FOR EDUCATION, you are able to pool your training needs with others who share similar needs. This results in: Immediate access to customized training Assessments to determine strengths and weaknesses in your employees Availability of workforce grant dollars Cost and time savings On-going classes, including online training courses Use of classroom space and NTI Business & Industry training center at no cost Partnering with others to raise the skill level of your employees Membership in Northwest Arkansas Industries for Education is open to any business or industry with a commitment to build a knowledgeable, skilled workforce.
