- The Canyon Lake Resort and the former Canyon Lake Chophouse is a family owned and operated lodging facility with motel rooms, cabins and lodges. Located in Rapid City, SD, on the west side of Canyon Lake Park, Canyon Lake Resort provides an Out of town feel, with in town appeal. Opened in 1999 as the Canyon Lake Chophouse, this unit is now the Reunion Lodge. Converted in 2015 to a two unit lodging facility which now sleeps 38. The two units each have their own home style kitchen, living room area and dining room tables that seat 20. Also located on our property is Cattail Lodge, a 5 bedroom house, 11 motel rooms and 10 cabins.
