- Garden City Hospital is a 323-beds teaching hospital with approximately 1,400 employees, and 365 physicians in 47 specialties. We offer medical education to students, interns, residents and fellows from across the country. The residency and internship programs offer more than100 positions in specialties including Cardiology, Diagnostic Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Neurological Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, General Surgery and Urological Surgery.The Specialty Center of Westland is home to our Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Services with the second largest multi-person hyperbaric chamber in Michigan; a Sleep Disorders Center; Center for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation; and the Center for Breast Care that has full field digital mammography, ultrasound services including biopsy, bone densitometry scanning and stereotactic biopsy.Our Surgical Center on the main campus provides six surgical suites, three procedure rooms, 23-bay Preop/PostOp area and over 40 board-certified surgeons on staff.
